Ever since we started Academy in 1994 our approach has remained simple: we work hard to give you, no matter the size of your business or budget, the best service we can; we work hard to understand your business and its objectives and we work hard to create the best and most appropriate solutions for your needs. We will be involved in and be fully responsible for [and that means take responsibility for] your project from Day One to the day the finished job lands on your desk. It's that simple.

Over the years we've been lucky enough to work with some brilliant people and companies. Career highlights include:

  • working with the British Heart Foundation for 18 years on their annual fundraising and education campaigns
  • designing all the literature, and managing its print and distribution for Clerical Medical's European investment division in Luxembourg
  • being featured in DESIGN WEEK’s top 10 for efficiency in their Top 100 Consultancy Survey
  • our continuing involvement in the brand evolution of children's furniture designer/manufacturer Tidy Books, from its origins as a one woman start-up to the growing international success it is today

 

 

 

WHO WE ARE

We are John Norman and Paul Lindt. We started working together on the Prudential's Holborn design account, long before Academy existed, and we quickly became established as a double act, frequently and worryingly interchangeable even to our own mothers. We decided to set up our own design company and took the name Academy from Bath Academy of Art where we had both studied. Bath Spa University, as it's now known, would be a rubbish name for a design company!

John has a reputation as a creative thinker and problem solver and works with many of our health clients in conjunction with Minerva PR. He has extensive experience of working with various charities, both large and small, including the British Heart Foundation.  Schools xxx xxx xxx xx xxx xxx

Paul is fearless when it comes to designing for the financial and corporate sector, including a 9 year relationship with Clerical Medical International in Europe and Hong Kong and he now manages Academy’s work with Simplyhealth (he loves the challenge of a complicated form in nine languages!) As an accomplished digital artist and retoucher Paul uses these immense skills in visualising architectural plans and even recreating vintage ephemera.
